Sea World trainer killed at Seaworld Orlando video
Investigating officials have spoken regarding the news of a Sea World trainer killed at Seaworld Orlando.  Yesterday’s tragic accident saw 40-year-old trainer Dawn Brancheau grabbed by a killer whale Tilikum, then pulled underwater.  The 12,000-pound orca proceeded to swim rapidly around in its tank, not letting go of Brancheau, and eventually causing her to drown.  Medical teams arrived to find the trainer dead on the scene.

In a press conference Wednesday evening, Jim Solomons of the Orange County Sherriff’s office, spoke on the tragedy and investigation.  Solomons noted that they don’t suspect foul play in the incident, and that they are still sorting out the details.  One detail Solomons noted was that Brancheau slipped and fell in the tank.  It was after that when Tilikum grabbed her by the arm and began its violent swim keeping Brancheau underwater.

Dan Brown, president of SeaWorld Orlando also spoke at the press conference, expressing his sadness over the news a SeaWorld trainer was killed.  Brown expressed deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Brancheau and noted that as more details develop, they’ll inform the media and public of them.
